What we do
ADH believes that informed citizens who actively participate in public life contributes to maintaining a healthy democracy and improving governance; two fundamental requirements to create a better country for all of us.
Based on this premise, ADH created a project called Honduran Changemakers, with the objective of promoting the next generation of Honduran leaders and making them active participants in our society that generate sustainable change in their respective communities based on democratic principles.
Through online workshops, the selected participants (ages 14-25) develop skills in public narrative, power mapping, root cause analysis, asset management, and leadership. Additionally, young national experts teach them about public policies in four main thematic areas: sustainability, economic development, social development and political development. The program ends with the development of a proposal to solve an urgent problem in the eyes of their community. The participants who develop the strongest proposals will have the opportunity to present them in front of political, economic and social leaders of the country in public events organized by ADH.
The application period for the second generation of Honduran Changemaker is open and will end on July 15, 2021.
